Physical Therapy - ONLINE TELEHEALTH

Physical Therapy ONLINE Telehealth sessions will include a gait (walking) assessment, sitting/standing posture evaluation, and other functional movement screenings. It will also include range of motion and strength testing. This will give us a good picture of where you have restrictions in your fascial system (your connective tissue), and what muscles need to get stronger. Yes we can do that all online! Treatments will include guided therapeutic exercises, guided self-myofascial release / stretching, and Home Exercise Program training - all catered to the patient's current activities and personal goals.

Physical Therapy IN-PERSON sessions will include a gait (walking) assessment, sitting/standing posture evaluation, and other functional movement screenings. It will also include range of motion of major joints and strength testing. This in-person session will also include manual joint mobility testing, as well as trigger point and fascial restriction assessments (where one has decreased movement in their joints, and knots / tightness in the connective tissue in the body). All of these assessments will give us a good picture of where restrictions need to be released and what needs strengthening or muscle re-education. Most of the In-person treatments consist of hands on manual therapy (see website for details on Myofascial Release and other manual therapy techniques - www. wolfwellnesspt.com). Treatments will also include guided therapeutic exercises, guided self-myofascial release and Home Exercise Program training - all catered to each patient's current activities and personal goals.
*** All In-person treatments will adhere strictly to CDC guidelines of proper PPE (masks, face shields, etc), complete with temperature checks and covid questionnaires before each session.

Dr. Wolf has always been passionate about being a part of the health-care system, helping people get back to their normal level of function and then taking it a step further to higher levels of wellness. Joanne brings a caring and holistic approach to her evaluations and treatment sessions. She combines various manual therapy techniques, breathe-work, and functional movement assessments/training to treat a plethora of ailments.

Since receiving her Doctorate of Physical Therapy from Touro college, Joanne has attended over 300 hours of continuing education courses in the following modalities to add to her evaluation and treatment options: John Barnes Myofascial Release Approach, Integrative Manual Therapy (IMT), Trigger point dry needling (Myopain seminars), CranioSacral Therapy (Upledger), and Pelvic Floor Therapy (Herman and Wallace). She specializes in improving overall wellness as well as treating acute and chronic conditions involving fascial restrictions, sports injuries, repetitive movement injuries, TMJ (temporal mandibular joint) dysfunction, concussions, GI issues, and pelvic floor dysfunction. Her true passion lies in working with any patient who truly wants to heal and to get to the source of their condition. In an ideal world, the majority of her caseload would be wellness visits, focusing on mindfulness, preventative care and reaching the highest levels of health and well being.
